Biography

 

Sanjogta is Indian/Dutch first full package artist
(model, actress, composer, singer, songwriter, dancer and choreographer).
She comes from a musical family.

Sanjogta is a fifth generation Indian.
She was born and brought up in the Netherlands as the third child in a family of four children.
Since childhood her interests are in acting, dancing and singing.
Her parents allowed her a great deal of freedom to develop her talents and qualities.
Despite living in the Netherlands, she was brought up very culturally and traditionally.
Art, music, dance and religion have always been a crucial part of her family and lifestyle.
For this reason, it is very important for Sanjogta to maintain and represent her roots and culture wherever she lives in this world.

Dancing
Sanjogta has been dancing since the age of two and she has competed in many dance competitions.
She regularly dances at various cultural events.
She does her own choreography in different dance styles:
Indian classical dance, religious dance, Bollywood dance, belly dance, twerk out and zumba.
Her dance performances have awarded her many trophies.

Vocal
Since childhood, Sanjogta has been singing in temples every week.
Her first song was a bhajan (a devotional song) taught by her first guru, her mother.
She learned all about rhythm and music from her father, also a musician and singer.
At the age of just eight, she won a prize for the difficult customized song ‘Aap Ki Nazro Ne Samjha’.
Her first vocal recording on CD was when she was nine years old.
Her single ‘Habibi’ was composed, written, sung, choreographed and directed by Sanjogta herself.
She received Indian classical singing lessons from Shri Koustuv Roy, a disciple of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborthy.
She has been awarded many trophies for her performances.

Acting
Sanjogta has acting experience since she was two years old.
As a child she played in a Sarnami/Bhojpuri movie.
She also participated in festivals at her primary school.
In the past years she played many roles in theater plays.

Sanjogta is fluent in English, Hindi and Dutch.
